Description
Also known as the Five-Fold Cross, the Jerusalem Cross was the Symbol of the Kingdom of Jerusalem in the 13th Century; but it first appeared at least 200 years earlier. The cross is said to represent Christ’s five wounds or Christ and the four evangelists. It later became known as the Crusaders Cross, and was flown on the standards of Peter the Great.
