Description
Dating back to the 6th Century, the Maltese Cross became the symbol of the Knights Hospitaller in the 1500’s. Also known as the St. John Cross, the eight points are said to represent the qualities of a true knight: Truth, Faith, Repentance, Humility, Justice, Mercy, Sincerity and Endurance through persecution.
In the background, John tells us in Revelation 1:7 (Greek) that a time is coming when Christ will return, and everyone on the earth, including those who have opposed Him, will see Him and call out in despair.
